English For Young Learners :D

EYL stands for English for Young Learners is a young learner course which uses innovative methods to encourage young learners to speak English as much as possible and to make them fun in learning English. It helps teachers and students enjoy the classroom activities by choosing the exact methods.

EYL is an elective subject for sixth semester in English Department of The University of Muhammadiyah Malang. Actually, there are three elective subjects that can be chosen by English Department students such as English For Young Learners, Translation, and Bussiness English. My friends and I who  exist on the pictures below are taking EYL class in this sixth semester :)

I take EYL because I want to be creative in teaching. Here, we learn classroom management, how to teach English skills such as reading, listening, writing, and speaking. We also learn how to teach songs and rymes, drama, story telling, and many others. It is a fun class! We learn how to be a headmaster, treasurer, secretary, etc. This class teaches us to learn and work cooperatively and I am sure it helps us to work in social life. One more, in EYL class I am learning how to be a nice mother and teacher for my children in the future hahahh :p  :)

We meet twice every week In EYL class. Miss. Devin, Riran, Dina, Idha, and I are united in reading group for EYL. Each group must present the materials only in two meetings. First meeting is explaining the theory (How to teach reading, tips for teaching reading, the benefits of teaching reading, reading activities, the principles of teaching reading, etc) and introducing our opening and closing classroom password and then the second meeting is teaching practice. Usually, we open our presentation and teaching practice by singing our opening and closing classroom password which are used for attracting the students attention when the classroom activities are begun.

Group II members are in action :p Me, miss Riran, Devin, and Dina (My reading group in EYL class ) Miss Idha is not here because she is taking our photo :D
Miss. Dina is explaining the materials on the slide :)
Miss Ida is teaching reading  for second grade by using balloons (There is a word written on each balloon  :)
Here, our opening classroom password and the tone is taking Potong Bebek Angsa Song :)
Good morning my teacher good morning my friends
How are you today? I’m pretty well
let’s smile together, let’s enjoy the class, I hope everything is gonna be ok :D (2X)

Closing classroom password, it takes Sayonara song :)

Good bye teacher, good bye my friends
It’s time to go home
See you next time teacher
žSee you next time my friends
See you next time my wonderful class
Thank you ^_^
" Do not forget about your body language while singing those songs because teaching EYL
should use TPR (Total Physical Response)  ok :p "

Miss Riran and Dina are placed as the presenters, Miss. Devin as the first grade teacher Miss. Idha as the second grade teacher, and me as the moderator and teacher in third grade all at once.
When we teach, do not forget to appreciate every good small thing that your students do
because it makes them happy and want to do their best again, again, all over again.
Appreciation is one of the tricks to encourage our students joining the classroom activities happily.
^_^
After meeting our beautiful ma'am :)

Miss. Devin, friends and I are in a photo session after teaching practice :P Hehehhh

" Jalan Sehat was as The Opening Ceremony of UMM 50th Birthday "

This morning, on Sunday 30 March 2014, my cousin and I went to University of Muhammadiyah Malang because it opened its birthday party by dubbing "Jalan Sehat". Jalan Sehat held for all students, lecturers, employees and families, and the society at 07:00 o'clock. There were many interesting door prizes provided on the stage. Besides, all participants got free consumption included my cousin and I.

We started our trip from helipad UMM campus III, located at Tlogomas Street then walked to Tirto Utomo, Jetis, and stopped off for a while in Taman Rekreasi Sengkaling UMM to collect the coupon, then we continued our trip till campus III UMM to take consumption while enjoying the music and listening to the announcement of the door prize. But, if we wanted to get door prize easily, we could sing a song then the committee would give you an interesting thing :) But, unfortunately, I did not do it. heheh

UMM celebrated its birthday greatfully and the door prizes were very interesting too! Congratulations to the lucky people who got the door prizes :) For unlucky people " do not be sad, there are many chances to get door prizes in another place :P " heheh

My cousin and I met my friends and lecturers on the road to finish line and we did not forget to take some pictures. It was a nice morning, we crossed green rice field while talked each other happily :D

Jalan Sehat was chosen as the opening party because UMM has been putting itself as a clear and green campus. UMM also has been preparing many UMM bicycles to its students in order to create the program and to help the students got the classes easily because its main gate was far from the lecture building. :)

As one of the students of The University of Muhammadiyah Malang, I just wanna say "HBD my campus :) I Love U Much :* Hopefully, be better, better and still be the best! ;)

????

Asslamu'alaikum Warahmatullahi Wabarakatuh ^_^
Good night everybody, how's life tonight? I hope everything's gonna be ok.

Now, I am at sixth semester. There are many assignments that must be well done every week. :D Alhamdulillah, although I am little bit tired, I always try to enjoy my activities because doing something that gives advantages for ourselves is better rather than doing nothing, is not it? :D
All of my lecturers in this semester are amazing!!! :*

<3 They are very professional, I love them much because I get many things from them especially knowledge <3

Actually, I rare visit UMM library but this semester changes my habit. Now, library becomes a comfortable place for me in finishing my assignments and looking for some references for several subjects. Hehe

Almost everyday, I bring knapsack on my back whereas I rare do it at the previous semesters hahahh :p

Umi and aji, my parents are the people who always support me and advice me everyday. Sometimes, I feel bored, tired and homesick but they make me strong, stronger and be a strongest girl :') I never imagined to live far away from my parents before, I always be by their sides actually, but because of our dreams, I must do it.

For the people who are still living together with their family, I just wanna say " You are so lucky" and for them who are living far away from their beloved family I just wanna say " Be patient and keep doing your best". :') Today, I miss my family so much T.T hiiikkksss
