Ninth Week

Opening Classroom Password

Good Morning...
How are you?
It’s nice to see you today!
Brilliant class, smart, proactive and wonderful!

Feeling
The ninth meeting in EYL (English for Young Learners) class was very delightful. The students in the 1st grade learned about the feelings, such as happy, sad, angry, hungry, sick, tired, bored, and great. The teachers used several colourful pictures of feeling matched with their colors for example green is for sick, red is for angry, and orange is for tired in order to make them easily understand the materials.

All students were very enthusiastic in learning about the feeling using the media given by teachers. The teachers introduced two songs to the students related to the topic. They were “Hello, How Are You” and “If You Are Happy and You Know It”. Both teachers and students sang together while dancing happily. The students were asked to draw feelings in a group in which each student only had to draw one feeling.

Students also raced to paste their feeling pictures to the display paper, and as the reward, they were given stars  by the teachers. The winner got 3 stars, the runner up got 2 stars, and the second runner up got only one star.

Berlian became the shining star in the ninth meeting of Brilliant Class. During the lesson, Berlian was able to pronounce feeling words well, draw feeling, sing songs enthusiastically, she was faster than other friends when pasting the picture she made to the display paper. Besides, she was also  able to respond the teacher’s questions such as “are you happy?”, “are you great?”, etc. Congratulations for being the shining star dear.
